Hydroponics

 Day 27

The roots are really setting into the tank. I am adding water much more often. The yellow pear tomato (on right in photos) is really outgrowing the pepper and other tomato plant. I experimented with some very aggressive pruning. We'll see how that goes.

Some aggressive trimming on the yellow pear tomato

jalapeno pepper is doing very well

The red cherry tomato has a bit thinner stalk
due to the light being higher

I really trimmed the Yellow pear down so
I could get the light closer to the other plants

Hydroponics

 Day 23

Two seed pods didn't germinate. I moved the pepper front and center. I need to read up on proper pruning. The yellow pear tomato is growing at a much faster rate than the others, therefore the light isn't close enough to the other plants.

Hydroponics

After 11 days I have a 3rd seedling sprouting. A jalapeno pepper plant. The other two are salad tomatoes. The left is a red cherry, and on the right is a yellow pear.

Hydroponics

After 7 days some sprouts are already popping up. The light is pulled up for the photos, but I have been keeping it just a little more than an inch above the new seedlings to keep them from becoming long and leggy which will make them weak.

2 seedlings sprouted

Hydroponics

It is my first time using hydroponics for growing. I made the purchase on Amazon.

February 2nd 2024. I followed all the instructions for mixing the plant food in the water and filled the tank. The lights are set and seeds are in their little pods. The set up was fairly simple.
